Irrigation Structures Department

The department is designated to study the performance of major irrigation and drainage structures and monitor their behavior during and post construction under various construction stages and operating conditions. This is to assure their safety, stability, and integrity and viability to the operating conditions. The department applies physical, numerical, and mathematical modeling as powerful tools. In addition, a research unit of construction project management covers feasibility studies, construction planning, scheduling networks, cost estimation, and risk management of construction projects.
